Most of the dwelling units in Rwanda have earth floors (85.3%). Only 12.2% of the dwelling units have cemented floors. In Kigali City, almost 60% of the floors are cemented.
Compared with the situation in 1991, there appears to have been very little change in the quality of material for floors of dwelling units in Rwanda during the intercensal period.
